Pro-Turkey militia vehicles transport stolen logged trees from Afrin towards Idlib

afrinpost – Exclusive

Activists on social media circulated a video showing dozens of cars near the crossing of the village of Al-Ghazawiya, carrying stolen firewood from the occupied city of Afrin to the city of Darat Izza in the western countryside of Aleppo, and from there to Idlib governorate.

In a related context, militants of the Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad” militia logged about 60 olive trees from the field of the citizen “Ahmed Hamdoush” from the village of Kafr Janna in the Shara district during the past two days, and sold the stolen firewood in the market of the occupied city of Afrin.

The citizen “Hamdoush” filed a complaint with the so-called “Committee for Restitution of Rights and Grievances,” stating that they told him that they had no authority over the members of the “Sultan Murad” militia, nor could they hold them accountable.
