Militants of the Turkish-backed “Malakshah” militia logged more than 80 fruit trees (olives, apricots, walnuts and almonds) in the village of Sinka / Sankarli in the district of Shara / Sharan, where they uprooted some from their trunks and others partially. The logged trees belong to a number of villagers, according to what a local activist posted on Facebook.
The activist added that the logged trees owners were heading to the “Military Police” militia in the city of Afrin to file a complaint against the militants; however, the militia’s gunmen in the village prevented them at gunpoint and forced them to return to their homes.
It is noteworthy that the car carrying firewood and logged trees was located at the militia headquarters in the village, which provoked anger in the villagers.
The village of Sinka was under the control of the militants of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia, which was expelled from Afrin, and for more than a month, the village has been under the control of “Malekshah” militia.
