Intermittent clashes broke out with heavy and medium weapons between the Syrian regime army and the Turkish-backed militia known as the “National Army” on the axis of the city of Marea – Sheikh Issa in the northern countryside of Aleppo, amid an exchange of artillery shelling between the two parties.
Our reporter stated that the clashes coincided with the flight of reconnaissance Turkish planes, adding that a squadron of Russian warplanes consisting of 6 fighters had flown over the Turkish-controlled areas, starting from Afrin region until the city of Jarabulus in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
In a related context, the Turkish forces shelled this afternoon with heavy artillery the vicinity of the Menagh military airport and the villages of Abbin and Deir Jamal, as well as the road connecting the village of Kafr Naya and Deir Jamal in the northern countryside of Aleppo, and the damage was limited to material. In addition, two Turkish shells fell on the surroundings of the village of Sheikh Issa and the city of Tell Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
