Turkish authorities released young man in Afrin for 400 dollars

The Turkish authorities released on last Thursday, August 4, the citizen “Muhammad Saeed Khalil” (31 years), from the village of Bakhja, in Bulbul district, after he was detained for four and a half months in Marateh prison.

The young man “Mohammed” was arrested on charges of conscription during the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin, to be released after paying a fine of 400 dollars.

afrinpost” documented 51 cases of arrest and kidnapping during the month of July 2022, including 4 women and 3 IDPs.

On August 5, “Syrians for Truth and Justice Organization” published a report documenting at least 311 arrests in Afrin during the first half of this year. The arrest cases included 12 women and children and the loss of 28 people, while two people were killed due to torture and money was taken as ransom from most released.
