Pro-Turkey militant sells Kurdish citizen’s seized house for $300

afrinpost – Special

Our sources in Afrin reported that an armed element called “Ahmed Ayoub Abu Mahmoud” affiliated with the Turkish-backed “Nour al-Din al-Zanki” militia, from the village of Qibtan al-Jabal in the western countryside of Aleppo, sold about a month ago the house of a Kurdish citizen to an IDP shepherd for $300.

“The house belongs to the forcibly displaced citizen “Abdul Rahman Othman” from the village of Ashkan Sharqi – Jindires district, and the gunman had seized it earlier and looted the entire contents of the house.” the sources added.

In a related context, the local councils of the districts of Sharra, Bulbul, Rajo and Mobata of Ankara recently informed the people through the mukhtars and militia leaders to re-register the property with the personal attendance.

Although these councils have counted and registered most of the agricultural properties in 2020.

“The Mukhtar receives his fees in the range of two thousand Syrian pounds for a single document, while the council receives two Turkish liras for each dunam, so that the next olive season and the fate of the displaced people’s properties will remain under the yoke of the oppression of the militia leaders,” according to the documentary report of the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria.
