Sources inside Afrin stated to our website that on Friday 17/9/2021 the joint checkpoint of the Turkish intelligence and its militias at the entrance to the city of Afrin arrested the citizen ‘Bayrakdar Muhammad Mustafa’ (51 years), from the village of Ashka / Ashkan Gharbi – Jindires sub-district.
‘The citizen Bayrakdar was returning to the city of Afrin, accompanied by his family to settle there, coming from the city of Aleppo – Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood after more than 3 years of forced displacement. He was taken to an unknown destination, while his wife and children were left alone, and no information was revealed about his fate.’, according to the same sources.
‘On Thursday 23/9/2021, Turkish-backed armed men kidnapped the Kurdish woman ‘Nesrin Hamo Waqas’ and her brother ‘Muhammad Hamo Waqas’, from the village of Kaxre / Yakhour of Mobata / Maabtli sub-district.’
The sources added that Nesrin and her brother were released after their family paid the pro-Turkey militias a ransom of 300 dollars for each of them.
‘On Thursday, 9/20/2021, the Turkish intelligence and the civil police militia arrested the Kurdish woman Sultana (50 years), the wife of the citizen Muhammad Rashid Abdo Ali, from the village of Avraze/ Abraz, in Mobata / Maabatli sub-district. However, she he was released on 9/22/2021 without being charged.’
In the same villlage, the Kurdish citizen Faeq Abdo Mustafa Qara, 35 years old, was arrested alongside with his brother Muhyiddin Mustafa Kara, on Tuesday 24/8/2021 by the Turkish intelligence services from his home in the village, after returning from the city of Aleppo, however, was released on the same day.’
‘Yesterday, gunmen of the Turkish-backed “Samarkand” militia kidnapped the citizen ‘Kamal Akhras’ from the village of Kafr Safra of Jindires sub-district.’
The sources added that “Samarkand” militia tookAkhras to an unknown destination, and his fate is still unknown.
Also on Thursday, the Kurdish citizen ‘Khalil Muhammad Taher’ from the village of Qibar, was kidnapped at one of the roadblocks of Azaz Afrin road. According to the information received, he was taken to ‘Marea’ prison, while his fate and the charges against him are unknown.
A local source reported that the Turkish anti-terror agency arrested on Sunday 19/9/2021 the Kurdish citizen ‘Habash Rashid Habash’ (26 years), from the village of Baadina in Rajo sub-district, on charges of dealing with the previous Autonomes Administration.
‘Habash was arrested from Shamarin Hospital, northeast of Azaz, accompanied by his wife. He was taken to an unknown destination.’ the source added.
