Our reporter in the center of Afrin region said that the “Military Police” militia arrested, on Friday, the Kurdish citizen Mustafa Simo, and took him to an unknown destination.
The arrest of “Simo,” a resident of the village of Maamila – Rajo district, was made on a trumped-up charge of placing a mine in a garbage container in the city.
On the other hand, masked gunmen kidnapped the Kurdish citizen Ahmed Bakr, a member of the local council in Bulbul sub-district, from his home in Hazra village – Bulbul sub-district.
According to local sources, “Bakr” was taken to agricultural lands and thrown into one of the wells after robbing him of money, his mobile phone and his wallet. He remained in the well until Saturday morning, when he managed to get out of the well and escape death.
The sources added that “Bakr” was subjected to a similar kidnapping in 2018, from the press of the village of Qestelê Xidriya – Bulbul, by an armed group of the Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad” militia led by the so-called “Ammar al-Bayanouni”, and during the kidnapping period, he was subjected to insults and physical assault.
