12 people were killed and wounded as a result of a number of missiles falling on the center of the occupied Afrin region in northern Syria. The attack was carried out from the town of Nubl, which is under the control of the Syrian regime army, while the Turkish forces responded by bombing villages in Sherawa sub-district and al-Shahba areas, amid the flight of unknown warplanes in the sky of al-Shahba and Afrin.
Our reporter said that 7 rockets targeted Al-Zaydiyah neighborhood and Al-Bobana neighborhood, killing two people, including a child, and wounding ten others with varying degrees of injury.
Pro-Turkey media channels published the names of the dead and wounded as follows: 1_ Masoud Hussein Rashid “Afrin” 2_ Ziad Omar Hussein “Hama, 25 years old” 3_ Muhammad Youssef Taha “Idlib, 35 years old” 4_ Imad Othman Mustafa “Afrin, 40 years old” 5_ Sally Sheikh Naasan “Afrin, 18 years old” 6_ Yassin Omar Al-Khaled “Hama, 30 years old” 7_ Salwa Haider Haider “Idlib, 30 years old” 8_ Muhammad Khalaf Ali “Afrin, 60 years old” 9_ Mustafa Juma Samer “Afrin, 9 years old” 10_ an unidentified child “in intensive care” in addition to two other unidentified people were killed, among them was a child.
Our reporter indicated that the attack caused great material damage, in addition to other missiles launched from the outskirts of the town of Nubl, and landed at the eastern entrance to the city of Afrin (Al-Qaws Checkpoint) and two missiles landed near the villages of Cûmkê and Gundê Istêr, near Afrin Center.
For its part, the Turkish forces targeted with heavy artillery and intensively the villages of Sherawa sub-district, and the shelling focused on the villages and towns of Mara’naz, Ain Digna, Al-Malikiyah, Aqiba and Bene, and the road leading to Tal Rifaat and Deir Jamal.
