In pictures: Turkish forces targeting Sherawa sub-district villages with more than 100 shells

Our correspondent reported that the Turkish forces have continued, since last night, Wednesday, to this moment, their heavy shelling on villages in Sherawa sub-district, which led to the displacement of some local residents and caused great damage to the property of the people there.

The correspondent explained that the Turkish army and its Muslim Brotherhood militias are bombing, in the meantime, the villages of Soxonekê and Aqîbê, in Sherawa sub-district, adding that about 125 artillery shells have landed in the area since last night until now, and the shells are fired from the Turkish base in the village of Tilif in occupied Afrin.

The correspondent indicated that a group of Turkish-backed militants tried to advance in the axis of the village of Soxonekê, except for a landmine exploded in them, causing casualties among its ranks.

The correspondent confirmed that the shelling caused the displacement of a number of residents of those villages to safer areas, while others committed to staying in shelters and basements, in addition to causing losses to the people’s property, as the shelling killed 30 livestock and destructed many houses in the villages of Soxonekê and Aqîbê.
