Kurdish former detainee rearrested by TSO militia after demanding his seized property

afrinpost – Exclusive

Our correspondent in Afrin reported that the Turkish-backed “Suquor al-Sham” militia had again arrested a Kurdish citizen on Wednesday 5/12/2021, on Eid al-Fitr eve, due to his demand to retrieve his truck (truck and trailer) that the militia had seized earlier, and threatened him, saying: “ We will let you pay the price of the truck twice. It belongs to us now, because it was owned by the party” an excuse they have always used to keep the seized properties.

The Turkish-backed “Suqour al-Shamal” militia arrested the 45=year-ols Muhammad Ahmad, from the village of Qastaleh Khudriya village, in Bulbul sub-district, after the occupation of Afrin in early 2018, and kept him for three years in their detention centers.

Our correspondent added that the citizen Muhammad al-Ahmad was surprised that the militia had seized his truck (with a trailer), after his release, and after two months had passed, he tried to retrieve it, as it was his only source of livelihood. However, he was arrested by the militia and taken to an unknown destination, and no information is available about his condition or fate to date.
