Today, Monday, the Turkish occupation authorities arrested four settlers in the industrial zone in the center of the occupied Afrin region in northern Syria, against the backdrop of the bloody bombing that struck the city on Saturday afternoon, corresponding to 01/30/2021.
According to the afrinpost correspondent in the city, four persons working in the industrial zone were arrested (two of them are from the city of Azaz, one is from Idlib and the other is from Hama governorate).
A truck bomb exploded around the Wednesday market in Afrin Industrial zone, killing 6 people and wounding 29 people, a third of them children.
The bombing also resulted in the injury and death of a number of Afrin residents as well, and these are their names, according to what afrinpost’s correspondent has documented: The martyrs (Abd al-Rahman Ali and his son Ali Abd al-Rahman, and they are from the Bazikeh village – Jenderes, and Ali Hamdan from the Al-Omairat clan). The injured are (Jihad Musa /Jilbar village – Reber Musa / Jilbar – Abdel Qader Othman 38 years old – Hassan Maamou 46 years old / Qarah Gul – Hussein Sheikh Muhammad / from Afrin).
The bombing came days after the Turkish occupation authorities issued an order to the “al-Shamiya Front” militia to hand over the management of the industrial zone to its local council in the city, noting that the militia was the one who ran it for three years and imposed royalties on the owners of the workshops, as they were charging 50 Turkish lira per month for each workshop under the pretext of protecting the craftsmen and their property, according to our correspondent.
