More illegal trade of seized apartments monitored in Afrin

The afrinpost website continues to monitor the trading in the properties of the Kurdish people of Afrin, which were seized by the militants of the Muslim Brotherhood organization and settlers brought to the Kurdish region of Afrin, as well as violations and logging actions against olive trees.

afrinpost correspondent reported that a gunman from “Sultan Murad” militia sold a house owned by a Kurdish citizen (Sido Ali) from the people of Gunde Ashouna, for $ 1,200, the house is located in the old neighborhood of Afrin, while the buyer was a settler from the city of Douma in the countryside of Damascus.

A member of the so-called “Aleppo Revolutionary Council” in Afrin, called (Abu Ahmad al-Hayani), offered four apartments for sale in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, near “Hakim” building, at the second junction on left. It was reported that he intends to sell apartments and move to Jabal Barsaya, to establish a settlement there, and said that he had (two martyrs) for the sake of “the revolution,” as he put it.

The reporter stated that the so-called “Restoration of Rights” patrol went yesterday morning, Saturday 01/16/2021 to al-Ashrafieh neighborhood – Trenda Road, on the mission of evacuating two houses that had been taken over by “Abu Sayyah” group of al-Hamzat militia, which controls the village of Barad, but the members of the group did not respond to the committee’s request and refused to vacate the house, which belongs to the Kurdish citizen Hannan Qasim, a resident of the village of Ahras, who works as a mechanic.

In the context of the seizure of property, afrinpost correspondent reported that a group of armed men, last Saturday morning, went to an olive fields, taking petrol saws and tractors with them to cut down the reminding of the olive trees belonging to the Kurdish citizens Nuri Najjar and Haydar Sheikh Hes, and other trees located at the end of Ashrafieh neighborhood, between the quarries of Trenda and al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, as well as close to the irrigation canal.
