10 Kurdish citizens were kidnapped and arrested by and the militia of the Muslim Brotherhood in the occupied Afrin region, in separate incidents, some of which were not documented.
The Afrinpost correspondent reported that on the fourteenth of this January, “Failaq al-Sham” militia kidnapped three Kurdish citizens in the village of Meydana Gawanda, including an elderly person, under the pretext of being members the Community Protection Forces during the Autonomous Administration period. They are: (1) Muhammad Bakr, nicknamed “Mahi Rash,” (75 years old). 2 Muhammad Mustafa Sido 3 and Muhammad Ismat Sido) and they were released two days after their abduction.
Meanwhile, Sheikhmus Ahmed Mistkalo (25 years), a resident of the same village, has not been released, and the militia is demanding payment of 2,000 euros for his release.
Turkish intelligence agents, in coordination with militants from the Brotherhood militias, on 17/1/2021, arrested the Kurdish citizen Muhy al-Din Muhammad Shaheen from the people of the village of Avraz in Mobata / Maabatli district. According to the Human Rights Organization – Afrin.
Muhy al-Din was arrested in an armed raid on his home in the village and took him to an unknown destination. No detailed information was received about the charge against him or whether a ransom was requested from him for his release.
It is reported that the citizen Muhy al-Din had an older brother, Mustafa Muhammad Shaheen, who was assassinated on May 22, 2018 in his home in Zaydiyya neighborhood in Afrin city on May 22, 2018, when militia gunmen fired three shots at him after raiding his house at dawn while he was performing the dawn prayers, which led to his martyrdom.
Yesterday morning, Tuesday the nineteenth of January, armed men of the Military Police militia at the checkpoint of the village of Taranda arrested the Kurdish citizen, Jiwan Salih, nicknamed Jaafo (30 years), from the village of Kurzele Jume, in Jenderes district, while he was passing with his sister on his way to Souq al-Hal In the city of Afrin, he was charged with dealing with the Autonomous Administration in the past, and performing the duty of Self-Defense. They also seized his Suzuki car, searched the rest of the passengers, and directed insults and obscene words to them.
In a related context, the so-called “Military Police” militia of the Turkish occupation on 17/1/2021 arrested Said Bahri Sheikh Sidi, from the village of Shekhotka in Maabatli district, at the checkpoint of the village of Amara on his return to his home, and charged him with dealing with the previous administration. Later, members of the “Military Police” militia asked the family of Said Bahri to pay a ransom of 2,500 Turkish liras to be released.
And local sources reported that three Kurdish citizens were arrested early this month, and they are:
1- Bashir Hasan Bayram (55 years old)
2- Hussain Dawud Omar (60 years)
3- Jalal Sabri Kamal, from Hasan village of Rajo district, and the three citizens were imprisoned for a week, and released after paying sums of money / 400-700 / thousand pounds Syria, and they were accused of going out on guard night shifts during the previous Autonomous Administration period.
