The Islamic militias threatened to forcibly displace the indigenous people in villages in Sherawa district, on charges of cooperating with the Afrin Liberation Forces, after the operation that targeted Turkish soldiers in Basufan village, in light of the continued imposition of a complete siege on those villages since the beginning of this December.
afrinpost correspondent stated that “Failaq al-Sham” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization threatened the people of the villages of Basufan, Burj Haydar, Ba’aeh, Fafratin and Kabashin to forcibly evict them from their homes, accusing them of providing facilities for the Afrin Liberation Forces in carrying out their operations in the region.
The militia imposed a suffocating siege on the residents of those villages from the third of December, especially the villages of Basufan and Ba’aeh, under the pretext of their cooperation with the Afrin Liberation Forces in carrying out the operation that led to the deaths of Turkish soldiers and militia.
A source from those villages says that the militia’s delay in implementing its threat is due to the fact that it has obtained financial royalties from its residents, but its threat still exists.
The militia carried out a widespread kidnapping campaign among the residents of those villages, and released most of them, while the fate of Ghazala Mannan Hussein, 45 years old, remains unknown, as she was brought to the militia headquarters in Iskan village.
