Afrinpost – Special
The Afrinpost correspondent quoted sources from among the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, called the “Syrian National Army,” that the latter had evacuated its headquarters in the Marea area in the northern countryside of Aleppo in anticipation of any Russian bombing.
He explained that the militia of al-Jabh al-Shamiya and the Mu’tasim Brigade had evacuated their military sites in Marea district, due to their fear that the Russian air force would bomb them.
On the 26th of last October, Russian warplanes bombed a camp for the “Failaq al-Sham” militia affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, in Jabal al-Duwailah area in Harem area northwest of Idlib, killing 78 terrorists and wounding more than 90 others.
Political analysts believed that the Russian strike directed against one of the largest Brotherhood militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation was a violent Russian message, in response to the Turkish intervention in the ongoing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno Karabakh / Artsakh region, and Ankara’s sending of Syrian mercenaries to the fronts to fight for the Azerbaijani side.
It is expected that the circle of Russian targeting of Ankara militias and the Muslim Brotherhood organization will expand, with the Turkish occupation’s insistence on stoking the fire of war in Nagorno Karabakh.
