“Samarkand” militia expelled residents of village in Jenderes countryside and returned them after receiving a large ransom

On 11/23/2020, the “Samarkand” militia of the Turkish occupation raided the village of Hasirkeh, which is affiliated with the district of Jenderes, and expelled all its residents from their homes due to a dispute between the two parties over the value of the rejected royalties on the olive press owned by the “Arab” family.

According to the Afrinpost correspondent, the militia raided the village’s homes (12 houses) and expelled all of its residents and seized them, including the family’s olive press in the village, after it kidnapped three brothers (the owners of the olive press) from the people of the village, who are (Abboud, Khalil and Mustafa Arab) and took them to its headquarters in the village of Kafar Safra, where they were subjected to severe beatings and torture.

The reporter confirmed that the militia released the three brothers after three days of kidnapping them, after forcing them to pay a ransom of 40 million Syrian pounds, in addition to looting 80 cane of olive oil from the press, indicating that the militia allowed the villagers to return to their homes after receiving the ransom money .

According to the report of the Media Office of the Kurdish Unity Party, the militia also kidnapped Abdullah Khalil Murad, from the village of Kafar Safra, as part of the same campaign, explaining that the citizen “Murad” is still bedridden, as a result of the torture and beatings he suffered inside the militia prison.
