The leadership of the so-called “National Army” militia issues a decision denying a previous decision on banning taxes on fruit trees, and the new decision included comprehensive royalties on all agricultural crops in the occupied Afrin region.
Afrinpost correspondent, citing his sources, reported that the leadership of the so-called “National Army” issued an internal circular regarding imposing a 10% royalty on all agricultural crops in the occupied Afrin region such as (sumac, cherries, vineyards, olives, and grains …), and this percentage is reserved for resident Kurdish citizens in the occupied Afrin region. The percentage rises to 25% or even 100% for the fields owned by the displaced Kurdish citizens.
The decision of the leadership of the “National Army” militia of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood to impose royalties that include all agricultural crops, completely contrary to a previous decision issued on 10/25/2020 prohibiting the imposition of taxes on fruit trees for this year’s season.
At that time, the militia leadership directed its armed formations not to take financial taxes on fruit trees and return the money that was taken to the owners of fruit trees for the current year’s season under the name (tree protection taxes), and within a maximum period of ten days from the date of the circular’s issuance, indicating that any complaint will be submitted to the “Restitution of Rights” committee will be duly followed up.
