Within the framework of the policy of aggression and harassment of Kurdish citizens in the occupied Afrin region, even the workers in its institutions, the Turkish occupation and its militias, this afternoon, Wednesday, arrested the head of the local occupation council in the town of Mobata / Ma’abatli, in addition to two of his companions under pretexts related to corruption, and they were taken to an unknown destination.
According to the Afrinpost correspondent in the district, a patrol of the “Civil Police” militia arrested Abd al-Muttalib Sheikh Naasan (Chairman of the Ma’abatli Council) in addition to “Hassan Eshano and another person” after the end of the official working hours in the council.
The correspondent added that two days ago, Turkish intelligence had confiscated the mobile phone of “Sheikh Naasan” while he was in his shift.
A joint patrol of Turkish intelligence agents and the “Civil Police” militia raided, on October 11, 2020, the local council building in Maabatli district, and arrested:
1 _ Salah Shaabo – Deputy Chairman of the Council
2 _ Muhammad Ali Sheikho – an education employee
3 _ Media Khanjar – relief worker
4- Muhammad Sattu – relief worker
5- Rashid Qasim, employee – Procurement Committee
6- Kaniwar Kamal Muhammad – employee
7 _ Rami Ibrahim – an employee of the Council.
On the other hand, the joint security checkpoint of the “civil and military police” militia, which was established at the entrance to the city of Afrin on Thursday 08/10/2020, arrested the young man, “Ahmed Izzat son of Mustafa,” who is from the village of Damliya in Rajo district, on charges of dealing with the Autonomous Administration. According to the Human Rights Organization in Afrin, he was taken to prison without knowing his fate until now.
