The campaign of arrests continues against the original Kurdish citizens in the occupied Afrin region, targeting in particular the youth group, and they are accused of having ties to the Autonomous Administration or performing the duty of self-defense, and it is carried out by security and militias in accordance with the instructions of the Turkish intelligence.
In this regard, the Afrinpost correspondent reported that the Kurdish citizen, Bangin Muhammad, from Shiye / Sheikh al-Hadid district, was arrested by the “Civil Police” militia gunmen at the al-Qaws checkpoint at the entrance to Afrin on Friday, October 2, 2020, and he was charged with performing the duty of self-defense during the former Autonomous Administration era.
It is reported that the young Bangin Muhammad works as a generator worker in Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin, and resides in the same neighborhood over the Hamada backery.
The waves of kidnappings particularly affect young people, the latest of which was the arrest of the Kurdish citizen “Ibrahim Haydar Othman” by the “Political Security” militia, from the village of Juqiya / Juwaiq, affiliated to the district center, from his home in Mahmudiyah neighborhood, and he was taken to an unknown destination.
