Unknown fate surrounds the life of a Kurdish kidnapped man, as his family could not pay $ 200,000 to the kidnappers

Afrinpost – Special

The fate of the 37-year-old Kurdish citizen “Ibrahim Khalil Abdo” is still unknown since he was kidnapped by masked gunmen on 2/5/2019, while he was working with his son “Muhammad” in the olive field located in the “Dromeh” site near The village of Kurka / Korkan in Mobata district in the countryside of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria

According to Afrinpost sources, eight masked gunmen, who were driving two white pickup cars, kidnapped Ibrahim and drove him to an unknown destination, while leaving his son, Muhammad, on his way.

The sources confirmed that twenty days after the kidnapping, the gunmen contacted his family and threatened to kill him if they refused to pay a ransom amounting to 200 thousand US dollars, indicating that the gunmen were sending pictures showing signs of torture to pressure them to pay the required ransom, except that the family of the kidnapped person was unable to secure the required amount, and since that time his fate remains unknown, amid fears that the gunmen may actually killed him.

The sources expressed their belief that the kidnappers belonged to the “112 Brigade” militia, which occupies a village Ba’dina, while other sources said they may be the “Muhammad Al-Fateh Brigade” militia that occupies the village of Kurka / Korkan that kidnapped the citizen “Ibrahim” because the site is located near the village.

The fate of hundreds of Kurdish citizens is still unknown, as they remain in secret detention centers of the Turkish occupation and the militia of the Muslim Brotherhood, amid the state of neglect or lethargy that afflicted international organizations despite the issuance of many reports confirming that the occupation forces and their militias committed war crimes, the last of which was the report of the The international investigation Committee on Syria issued a few days ago.
