Afrinpost – Special
The security checkpoints of the Turkish occupation militias associated with the Muslim Brotherhood continue to crack down on the indigenous population in Afrin with the approaching olive season, imposing financial royalties on the Kurdish farmers.
The correspondent of “Afrinpost” reported that the security checkpoints of the Turkish occupation militias impose financial royalties on farmers heading to work in the olive fields, especially those located between the city center and Mobata / Ma’batli district, indicating that the checkpoints impose an amount of (1000-2000) SYP on everyone who wants to go to his field.
The correspondent added that one of the citizens paid about 10 thousand SYP until he reached his orchard in the village of Amara, and on the way back he also paid about 10 thousand.
The policies of the occupying Turkish forces and the Muslim Brotherhood militias affiliated with them in Afrin have led to environmental and humanitarian disasters, amid the neglect of the international community, which turned a blind eye to the harassment and the usurpation of their rights and freedoms, prompting the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights to renew its continuous demands to put an end to the Turkish occupation and to stop the violations practiced by Ankara against the right of the Syrian citizens.
