Afrinpost – Special
The “Sultan Murad” militia affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization expelled a settler family from the city of Maarat al-Numan, from a house the family occupied in the district of Bulbul in the countryside of the occupied Afrin region in northern Syria, and assaulted them by beating men and women.
Media channels published a of the incident, in which a 50-year-old man appears shouting: “Israel would not do this to us” after the militia attacked him and his family, tore his clothes, assaulted the women and beat them, in reference to the brutality shown by the militia towards them, in the same clip a woman’s voice is clearly heard complaining of the militia’s aggression, while the armed elements were still there and have not left yet.
The incident is not fleeting, but rather reveals in depth the nature of the behavior of the Muslim Brotherhood “National Army” militia affiliated with Ankara, which is hostile to all Syrian people, and also reveals the nature of the changes that occurred in Afrin society after the demographic change, and the lies of the Turkish media.
The current society, which Ankara created with international complicity in the occupied Afrin region, after the displacement of its indigenous Kurdish population from it, is inconsistent and unstable, and regional differences are clearly visible in it, but is based on the use of force and violation against people.
There is another, deeper dimension revealed by such an incident, and it relates to the nature of the Russian plan, which required gathering all the elements of factions in northern Syria through forcible transfer, grouping all the elements of the crisis in a specific place and delegating Ankara to the task. Some were forced to leave their homes in order to escape after their areas were to battlefields and were bombed.
According to the Russian plan, inconsistent elements have gathered in the occupied Afrin region on more than one level, starting with the militias themselves that fight from time to time in the framework of the struggle for influence and the division of what they call “spoils of war”, as well as the great contradictions between the settlers as they were brought in from different regions. It was intended to achieve several goals at once, the first of which is to ensure the security of specific areas at the expense of another, and the second is to achieve demographic change, while the largest share of violations are committed against the Kurdish people of Afrin, through acts of kidnapping, demanding ransoms and seizing property.
