Afrinpost – Special
“Afrin Post” received on Sunday, information that “Jaish al-Nikhba” militia is asking for a financial ransom to release the kidnapped Kurdish youth, “Muhammad Ali Mustafa,” who was kidnapped on the sixth of July.
The sources confirmed that the militia contacted the kidnapped relatives and asked them for 3 million Syrian pounds to release him, while the young man, “Muhammad Ali”, from the people of Darwish village, which is affiliated with Sharan district.
At that time, two villages in the occupied Kurdish countryside of Afrin, north of Syria, had witnessed two cases of kidnapping of two young Kurds by the Turkish occupation militias and the Muslim Brotherhood, with the aim of financial extortion in the framework of the plan to restrict the remaining of the Kurdish indigenous population in order to displace them and completely empty the region for the benefit of the settlers affiliated with Ankara.
As for the second village, it was Ma’mila, as the militia of “Sultan Muhammed Al-Fateh” kidnapped the Kurdish youth “Lawand Omar Samu” from his house in the village of “Ma’mila / Mamal Oshaghi” in Rajo district, and took him to its headquarters in the district center with the aim of financially extorting his family, which has been the occupation militias since they occupied the Kurdish region on the eighteenth of March 2018.
On the eleventh of July, a report of “Afrinpost” said that the Brotherhood militia imposed an arbitrary payment on the kidnapped at their headquarters, which can be called “paid kidnapping”, to make matters worse, because kidnapping and arbitrary detention is in itself a heinous behavior while the charge remains constant, either with serving with the military service or the relationship with Self-Administration during the previous phase.
In the context, private local sources told “Afrinpost” from the region’s center, that the militias of “Sultan Murad” of the Turkish occupation which occupies villages of the “Bulbulah / Bulbul”, inform the citizens who performed the duty of self-defense during the previous period of Self-Administration under the pretext of a settling their situation in exchange for a financial ransom of 35,000,000 Syrian pounds.
The process may be repeated arbitrarily just to get the money, and the gunmen are forcing the kidnapped Kurds to pay the sum of (5000) Syrian pounds for every night, on the pretext that it is the accommodation, food and drink charges throughout the kidnapping.
