Condemnations and denunciations continue to be issued, respectively, regarding the kidnappings of Kurdish women in the occupied region of Afrin, by Islamist militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood.
In the context, “The Future Syria Party, the Syrian Democratic Council and the Syrian National Democratic Alliance” issued a statement today, Thursday, from the al-Awda camp for the displaced people of Afrin in the Al-Shahba areas, in the village of “Chatal Ziyarateh / Ziyarah” in the Shirawa district in Afrin.
The statement was attended by dozens of party members raising pictures of women who were subjected to violations, along with signs reading “No to violations, torture and kidnapping of women, we women are resisting, here”, and a statement was read on behalf of the three parties combined, saying: “The Afrin region is exposed to violations and crimes against humanity from March 2018 until this moment by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in all its terrorist factions, the kidnapping of Kurdish women and gathering them in the headquarters of terrorist mercenaries while they are naked is an act contrary to human values and principles, as it is considered an insult to the right women and at the same time to Kurdish women, who led the human revolution in an attempt to undermine the free will of the Kurdish woman and this persistence and transgression dehumanizing them, and Turkey has a black record in this field where it reminds us of the brutal Ottoman Turan acts which are despicable acts that only cowards do. ”
The statement added: “What ISIS did in Shangal against Kurdish women, slaving and selling thousands of them at slave markets, and abuse them, the same acts are committed by the Turkish state and their mercenary factions against the people of Afrin, especially Kurdish women, where thousands of Kurdish women in Afrin were kidnapped and tortured to death, and what it was recently revealed in the prisons of Al-Hamzeh sqad is an affront to humanity and not only the women of Afrin, ignoring all international norms, covenants and charters, all human rights organizations, all laws, ethics and human rights.
The three parties indicated that it is “an insult to all human and feminist organizations in the world, and it reveals the fact that there is no difference between the practices of the Turkish state against humanity and the practices of ISIS. The international community is responsible for the crimes of these mercenaries, as they commit this violations in front of them, and they act as if the Afrin region is a forgotten region and outside the geography of Syria, where all the mercenary factions and terrorists, including the Turkish occupation met.
And it continued: “We, the political parties in the Shahba regions, condemn the violations and crimes of the Turkish state against the people of Afrin and call on the international community and the world conscience to play its role in preserving human values and principles and pressure the Turkish state to withdraw from the Syrian areas it occupies, so that the indigenous people return to their homes.” .
Those parties demanded “the international community to form an international commission of inquiry for war crimes and forced displacement in Afrin and the rest of the occupied Syrian territories in light of the violations Turkey is commiting against humanity and demographic change as it violates lofty goals and United Nations laws.”
