Occupation militias conduct a second raid in the village of “Raja” in “Mobata”

Afrinpost – Special

Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, who call themselves the “Syrian National Army / Free Army”, continue to use kidnapping and arrest as a means of blackmail, pressure and restrictions on the remaining Kurdish indigenous population in the occupied Afrin region, with the aim of displacing them from their homes for the benefit of settlers loyal to them.

In the context, the Kurdish Legal Authority said that the militants of the Turkish occupation, under the supervision of its intelligence, launched a campaign of raids in the occupied villages of Afrin, particularly targeting the people of the village of “Raja”, which belongs to the “Mobata / Ma’batli” district.

The authority, quoting a source from the village, stated that the militia of the “Al-Shamiya Front” stormed the village for the second time on June 5th, , and kidnapped the citizens: 1- Hourik Naasan bin Rashid 37 years old, 2- Aziz Hussein bin Sheikho, 60 years old 3- Hamid Ibrahim bin Khalil, 70 years old, 4- Azad Ibrahim bin Jamil, 30 years old, and they were taken to an unknown destination.

The authority stated that the village had been stormed nearly ten days before that date, and : 1- Hussein Sheikho (Mukhtar of the village) , 2- Batal Muhammad Sheikho, 3- Ali Hamo, 4- Haitham Ramzi Haji Hamo, 5- Hanif Aref Shaara, 6- Muhammad Barim, 7- Hanif Hanan, were kidnapped, noting that they were released a few days later in exchange for paying a ransom.

It is clear that the kidnapping and release process, and then re-kidnapping, has become a new financial extortion against the kidnapees for several times, but the occupation is trying to legalize it, and legalize the financial ransom from that gate, by acquiring a guarantee from the prisoner for each release, or else the kidnapped becomes a hostage of the occupation, pending the payment of the royalty, which it imposes through courts.
