Afrinpost – Special

Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization continue to kidnap and hide hundreds of people from the occupied Kurdish Afrin region, since the first days of the Turkish invasion on January 20, 2018, and one of those cases, is the case of a husband and wife called Ahmed and Nadia.

Where the young couple, “Ahmed Rashid”, 23 years old, from the village of “Bibaka”, which is affiliated to the “Bulbul” district, and “Nadia Hassan Suleiman / 20 years old, from the village of ” Quzilbasha “, which belongs to the same district, decided to return to the occupied Afrin after a period of time from their marriage, they were able to get out of the Shahba areas to the city of Kobani, from which they headed to Manbej and entered to Jarabulus region, which is under Turkish occupation.

However, the Turkish occupation militia kidnapped Ahmed on the road to Kafar Jannah – Afrin, which forced his wife, Nadia, to go to her uncle’s house, and to live there for a while, waiting for her husband getting out of the prison, but her uncle decided at that time to leave for Aleppo, which led her to join one of her friends in her house, but later an armed patrol raided the house and kidnapped Nadia and the host family (a man and his wife).

The name “Nadia” appeared in a report for the human rights organization in Afrin, and said that she was among the kidnapees who appeared in the leaked video after the storming of the “Ahrar al-Sham” militia and “Army of Islam” to the headquarters of the “Al-Hamzeh Squad” militia in the “former Asayish building”. .. Her fate and that of her husband, Ahmed Rashid, are still unknown.

In the context, “Afrinpost” met with Nadia’s mother, who is displaced in the Al-Shahba areas, and she is called “Zeenat Hasan Suleiman”, who said: “I am from the people of Qazilbasha village (Afrin – Bulbul) and my name is Zeenat Hasan Suleiman, we were forcibly displaced from of Afrin and came here, to “Tal Rifaat”.

She added: “We could not know anything about our daughter for two years, her name is Nadia Hassan Suleiman, we know nothing about her or her husband.” First, her husband was kidnapped, then my daughter went to her uncle’s house to stay in his house until her husband Ahmed was released, but her uncle left for Aleppo and she had to go to her friend’s house to stay with her.

Stressing that “a gunmen patrol raided the house and kidnapped her, her friend, and her husband,” and she said: “I hope that she will be released. I am eager to see her, especially since my husband is dead, and I am alone waiting for her.”
