Afrinpost – Special
Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood who call themselves the “Syrian National Army / Free Army” continue to seize and expel the indigenous population as a means of blackmail and pressure and restrictions on those who remain in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, with the aim of displacing them from their homes for the benefit of the settlers from various regions of the conflict in Syria, especially the countryside of Damascus, Homs, Hama, Aleppo, Deir Ezzor and others.
In the context, “Afrinpost” learned from its sources that leaders in the “Al-Shamiya” militia called “Nidal Bayanouni” and “Ahmed Hashem” alone seized 67 houses in the vicinity of the industrial zone in the Ashrafieh neighborhood in the heart of Afrin, in addition to more than 80 shops .
The sources confirmed that those called “Bayanouni” and “Hashem” are investing these homes and shops for their personal benefit, after they seized them after the displacement of their real Kurdish owners from the city original residents, as a result of the Turkish-Muslim Brotherhood invasion in the period between January and March 2018.
The sources added that the two men had previously sold 17 apartments to those who fled from Idlib and Hama countryside.
In the context, Afrinpost correspondent at the center stated that a settler from the town of “Tel Jabin” in Aleppo countryside, sold “a shop” for $ 700, noting that the commercial store is located on Al-Sarafis Road next to the Zad Al-Khair bakery, owned by the displaced Kurdish citizen, Jamil Abu Muhammad, from the village of “Khalilaka / Khalilak Ushaghi”, which belongs to the district “Bulbula / Bulbul”.
The seizures of the properties of the displaced Kurds continue since the occupation of Afrin, in addition to preventing by the occupation forces and Islamic militias in many villages the indigenous people from returning to their homes and properties after seizing them, on the pretext that they have become military headquarters for the Islamic militias, or that settlers of the armed militants have settled there. !
