The explosions in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, continue, in light of the Kurdish activists affirming on the ground, responsible for the Turkish occupation and the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, as part of their efforts to create confusion and security chaos that allows them to continue the operations of abuse, kidnapping, robbery, looting, and seizure against the Kurdish indigenous people.
In the context, activists reported last evening, Wednesday, that a powerful explosion occurred in the vicinity of the “Jihan Hospital” in the old Afrin neighborhood, opposite side of the “Health Authority / formerly”, while ambulances rushed to the site of the explosion, which caused several injuries.
The details of the explosion or its results have not yet been clarified, while most of the explosions occur within the framework of settling accounts between the competing militias on the power and areas of influence, barriers and royalties, in addition to exploiting the explosions to carry out looting and robbery in the vicinity of the target area.
Afrin did not witnessed any of these explosions during the seven years of its people’s rule within the “autonomous-administration” system from 2012 to March 2018, as the people of the region were responsible for protecting it, but Afrin has not known peace since the Turkish military occupation, accompanying its militants of the Muslim Brotherhood, who call themselves “the Syrian National Army / Free Army.”
On the twenty-eighth of April, a massive explosion occurred on the Raju Road in the center of the occupied Afrin region, in front of the entrance to the city market, which resulted in the fall of 73 victims in addition to huge material damage to the market and the shops near the site of the explosion.
