Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to use kidnapping and arrest as a means of blackmail, imposing pressure and restrictions on the remaining Kurdish indigenous people in the occupied Afrin region, with the aim of displacing them from their homes for the benefit of settlers loyal to them from various conflict areas in Syria.

In the context, the Afrinpost correspondent in the Raju district center said that gunmen from the “Sultan Muhammad al-Fateh Brigade” militia had kidnapped Kurdish citizens from the village of “Ma’amlo / Ma’aml Ushaghi ”, demanding their families to pay $ 400 to release each of them.

The reporter indicated that the kidnapees are “Anwar Othman Hamkoulino”,40-year-old , who was kidnapped on April 30 last month.

In addition to another group that was kidnapped on May 10, they are: “Kimaw Anwar Kurdi, 31 years old,” “Ahmed Othman Mohamed, 27 years old,” and “Ahmed Waheed Mustafa, 24 years old,” And Hassan Jamil Hassan, 25 years old, “Demakash Othman, 33, years old” Muhammad Uthman, 24 years old, and “Dozyar Kurdi, 30 years old” where the fate of them is still unknown .

Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, which is one of the methods they followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
