Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to use kidnapping and arrest as a means of blackmail, pressure and restrictions on the remaining Kurdish indigenous people in the occupied Afrin region, with the aim of expelling them from their homes for the benefit of Islamic settlers loyal to them from various conflict areas in Syria.
In the context, the “Afrinpost” reporter at the Afrin Center said that, “Since more than ten days ago, a pro-Turkish occupation group have been kidnaping the indigenous people of Afrin, for various charges, such as arms trade and dealing with the People’s Protection Units, to be followed by a request for ransom from the kidnapped families. .
The correspondent indicated that the Turkish occupation and the Islamic militias that have occupied Afrin since 2018, continue their efforts to displace the indigenous people, with the aim of consolidating the demographic change since the occupation of Afrin.
In this context, he said that the militias that kidnapped the people of Afrin in the city center, and took them to unknown destinations, required ransom money from the families of the kidnapped, a scenario that has been going on for more than two years.
While a civilian source from Afrin said that the group does not reveal its affiliations, while the occupation soldiers do anything to stop violations of that group.
The reporter also indicated that the group kidnapped the citizen “Mohieddine Primko” and released him after he paid a ransom of $ 2000, while the civil source said: “If your financial situation is good enough, then you will surely be kidnapped by that group.”
The source added: “The Turkish occupation created these groups with the aim of kidnapping the indigenous people without reason, with the aim of displacing them from Afrin.” , and “the gunmen confirm that Turkey has told them clearly that (no Kurdish person should remain in Afrin),” he continued, “but the remaining Kurds are here,, and it is impossible to get them out from Afrin ”
