On Friday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed that the Turkish occupation had stopped providing funding for an Islamic militia loyal to Erdogan, known as the “Failaq Al-Rahman” militia, whose most members are from Al-Ghouta and Homs, after they refused to send militiamen to Tripoli in order to fight against the Libyan National Army.
According to the observatory, the suspension of funding for the “Al-Rahman” occurred against the background of a request by Syrian militias affiliated with Turkey from the “Failaq Al-Rahman” to provide a list of the names of fighters to send them to fight in Libya under orders from Turkish occupation, and after the Legion leaders evaded providing the list, the response was to stop their of salaries two months ago, and reduce food and ammunition provisions.
The “Observatory” indicated that there are gunmen from the “Failaq Al-Rahman” who had gone to Libya individually after being recruited by Turkey and transferred with “mercenaries” to serve the Turkish interests there.
Earlier, the head of the “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights”, Rami Abdel Rahman, said that the Syrian militants who were pushed by Ankara to Libya face death, pointing to an unprecedented rebellion in their ranks, after they felt that they had been abandoned.
He added, in a press statement, that the Syrian fighters now feel that they have been implicated by Erdogan in the war quagmire in Libya, where they have no benefits from.
