On April 2, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights issued a report on the month of March, and the violations committed by the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood militants, who call themselves the “Syrian National Army”.
And with the report: “With more than two years passed since the Turkish forces and the factions loyal to it took control of the city of Afrin and its countryside completely, these factions continue, with a Turkish green light, all kinds of violations against the people of Afrin, whether those who remain and refuse to be expelled or those who have been abandoned by disposing of their property, plundering them and looting them” .
Continuing: “The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights continues to keep pace with and monitor violations and what is happening there, as the month of March of this year 2020 witnessed scores of abductions, kidnappings, robberies, arrests, looting, etc., and according to the statistics of the Syrian Observatory, the factions loyal to Ankara arrested and kidnapped of about 43 civilians from separate areas in the city of Afrin, Jenderes, Sharan, Ma’abtali and other areas in the region, some of them were released later, while the majority are still being held in the prisons of the factions on various charges and pretexts, most notably the intelligence with the YPG.
Adding : “For its part, the Turkish government granted the beginnings of last March the green light to the factions to sell the properties of the Kurds at symbolic prices, where the sources of the Syrian Observatory confirmed that the factions loyal to Turkey or what is known as the“ Syrian National Army ”are working to sell the homes of the displaced The Kurds who were forced by the Turkish military operation to leave their areas, where the sale is made at prices ranging from 3 to 5 thousand dollars for two-storey houses.
According to the sources, the observatory noted that “the pro-Turkish factions within the Syrian National Army in the city of Afrin are wreaking havoc in the area, and recently started selling or renting houses and shops, and considering them as their private property.” And this is within the framework of the systematic policy pursued by the factions and Turkey to displace the remaining residents of Afrin, where the Kurds in the region are afraid to leave their homes, especially in the evening, for fear of being kidnapped or arrested under various pretexts.
The observatory concluded its report by saying: “While the“ Al-Jabha Al0Shamiya ”faction intentionally numbered the commercial stores in the Maabtli district of Afrin countryside in order to collect“ monthly taxes ”in varying amounts as a kind of royalties imposed by the factions there, and elements of the same faction also dredged the soil And digging with heavy machinery in archaeological sites located between the villages of Shetka and Kakherah, in the district of Maabatli, in search of antiquities.
