Afrinpost – Special
The militants of the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood and their settler families continue to seize the properties of the indigenous people, by armed force and coercion, in the occupied autonomous Kurdish region of Afrin in the former north and east of Syria.
In the context, Afrinpost learned from its sources that the “Failaq Al-Rahman” militia expelled from Ghouta, Damascus, is currently preparing lists of the names of settler families descending from the countryside of Damascus, in preparation for distributing property records in the vicinity of the village “Qibareya / Throne of Qibar”.
The sources pointed out that the militia intends to distribute real estate records with an area of “400 square meters” to each family of settlers, noting that some of the properties belong to the village immigrants, and another is sorted as state property.
The incident is only a continuation of the robberies and seizures that have taken place since the occupation of Afrin. On the fifteenth of April, “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia uprooted 70 olive trees in a field located in the western entrance to the city of Afrin, which connects with “Jenderes” district, in order to threaten the construction of a number of Shops, gas station and car wash in place.
Afrinpost correspondent confirmed at the time that the militia had brought bulldozers into the traditional field of “Al-Ghobari” family to settle the land after uprooting olive trees from it, in preparation for building commercial stores and a fuel station.
