Local sources told “Afrinpost” that 5 prisoners from ISIS escaped from a prison affiliated to the militia of “the military police” of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood in Raju in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin.
The sources told the Afrinpost that the “Military Police” militia had erected roadblocks in the main roads in Raju, to check passers-by, in search of escaping ISIS.
The sources said that it is likely that someone had contributed to smuggling ISIS elements, in order to get them to Turkey and taking them from there towards Libya, and this is not a new way for the Turkish occupation, as ISIS members were previously used to invade Afrin and the areas of East Euphrates and finally Libya.
On March 7, the Afrinpost had learned, from sources among Islamic militia militants, that Turkish intelligence had included ISIS operatives in the battle to control the town of Sheikh Aqil in the western countryside of Aleppo.
The sources confirmed that the elements were detained in the “Marateh ” prison and were released from the prison with the aim of participating in the battles of controlling the villages and towns of the western countryside of Aleppo, stating that after the completion of the control of the town, the elements were returned to the prison, and that some of them died In those battles.
