Kurdish citizen was kidnapped from the village of “Anqaleh”, of the “Shieh” district

Afrinpost – Special

Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to constrain and abuse the remaining indigenous Kurdish citizens in the occupied Afrin region, with the aim of pushing them to leave their homes and complete the change of the demographic composition of the region, for the benefit of the pro-Ankara settlers.

In this context, the militia “Saad bin Abi Waqas Brigade” kidnapped the Kurdish citizen “Rashid Ahmed” from his home in the village of “Anqaleh”, of the “Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid” district and took him to an unknown destination, according to the Afrinpost correspondent in the district.

The reporter confirmed that the citizen “Rashid” works as a shepherd in his village, and that the militia contacted the his relatives and asked them for 2000 dollars as a financial ransom to release him.

The militia itself kidnapped a 23-year-old young man, “Bakr Haji Ahmed”, who was released after paying a ransom of 500 TL.

Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, which is one of the methods they followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
