Afrinpost – Special
The Afrinpost reporter at the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria confirmed that the so-called “local council” of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood had started selling houses are not ready to habitation, to the newly arrived settlers from Idlib governorate and areas West Aleppo and others.
The reporter noted that the information he obtained indicates that a residential house located behind the “Saleh Al-Ali / Dbistana Rush” school was sold for $ 1,800, in addition to another in the vicinity of the Kaban roundabout at $ 2,800, along with two other apartments at $ 4,000 each who are they.
In Al-Mahmoudiyah neighborhood, the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia sold 3 houses built in a style known as “Al-Arabi,” in amounts ranging from $ 600- $ 800 per house.
Meanwhile, one of the real estate owners in Afrin warned the settlers against the consequences of being dragged behind these operations, describing them as “clearly con”, saying: “All houses possess papers and evidence confirming their ownership by the indigenous residents of Afrin, and therefore these sales Legally invalid, as it is not proven in the courts of the Syrian state.
Continuing: “As long as the documents are not present, on what basis does the local council record sales operations, then what are the guarantees that the council provides to the buyer that the property remains for him, and what if the real property owner returns, what is the position of the council then?”
In the context, “Abu Shiyar”, a citizen residing in Afrin, affirmed that the local council that records the purchases in its courts, is doing this on the basis that it has become a “permanent authority in Afrin”, surprising that the settlers were drawn to this “trick” as described.
Abu Shiyar continued: “The mind cannot accept that the settlers who are fleeing Idlib or who have had a year and two years of settlement in Afrin, how do they believe the local council or the armed men to purchase real estate from them, these are illegal and unstable authority. The situation could be changed in any tine, and they get out of Afrin, then who will pay the buyer back … Each property has a owner, and this owner has all the documents and papers, and he will inevitably return. ”
The sale of the local council of the Turkish occupation of real estate in Afrin came in conjunction with the escalation of military operations in Idlib and western Aleppo, in addition to Afrin itself, where yesterday’s bombing hit the district center, killing a settler and wounding 3 others, in addition to wounding 3 children from the Kurdish indigenous population.
