In this context, the fate of many young Kurds who decided to return to Afrin after the application of the Turkish military occupation to it remains unknown, including those who have had two years of unknown fate, without their families knowing that they are still prisoners of the occupation poles, or have they become martyrs under the whip of the executioners of one of the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
Among those cases, the young man “Ziyad Khalil Kalo” ,his mother “Soulia”, is from the village of “kurzeleh / Karzahil”, where his fate remains unknown for a year and nine months.
The Turkish occupation sought to confront the endeavors of the Afrini people who decided to fight a white resistance with a taste of coercion to live under occupation, using various dirty shemes based on kidnapping, killing, torture, theft, looting and seizure, to prevent the displaced from returning, and the displacement of those who returned to Afrin, in order to implement a planned demographic change, planned months before the launch of the Turkish military invasion of the Kurdish region.
