Thousands of people from Al-Shahba and forcibly displaced people from the occupied Kurdish Afrin region in northern Syria flocked to Fafin district in Al-Shahba district to condemn the massacre committed by the Turkish occupation army on the second of December 2019.

The text of the statement said, “Today, forty days after the death of the Tel Rifaat massacre committed by the occupied Turkish state and its mercenaries who are traitors to their homeland, ten civilian martyrs, including eight innocent children who were having fun in front of their temporary residences where they took refuge after the occupation of their city and the land they found, were killed.As butterflies, they fly together to fulfill their future dreams that were shattered by the brutal dictator “Erdogan” who sucks the blood of children from Shangal, Robowski, Nisibin, Afrin, Ras Al-Ain and recently the blood of forcibly displaced children to Tal Rifaat and are held in the hope of returning to Afrin.

The statement continued: “In the name of the children of Afrin and the Shahba, and especially the children of the martyrs, we condemn and denounce the stigma of shame, the massacre of Tel Rifaat and all the violations committed against the children. We call and demand the advocates of freedom and democracy and human rights organizations calling for the protection of children, especially UNICEF, to fulfill its duty and investigate with the perpetrators of this massacre and put pressure on the Turkish fascist state Getting out of our land for peace, war ends, and we return safely to our region. “

Artillery shelling from the Turkish occupation and Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood known as the “National Army, Free Army” targeted the displaced Afrin people in the Shahba regions in northern Syria. At that time, 10 people were killed, including eight children, in addition to the wounding of others, as the Turkish occupation targeted Tal Rafa’at area from time to time.

Among the martyrs as a result of the Turkish artillery shelling on the second of December, the martyr “Hussein Kel Dado” of the people of the village of Gallo, born in 1945, who had left Germany and returned to Afrin in the eighties, and then forcibly was displaced from Afrin after the Turkish invasion, where A housing camp in Shahba, awaiting the liberation of Afrin, until he was martyred by Islamic militia shells.
