Two displaced people of Afrin died in the Shahba areas, as a result of a mine explosion from ISIS remnants in the area.

The Afrinpost correspondent said that the two citizens, “Kanewir Hussein Alloush / 33” and “Samir Manan Alloush”, who are close to each other from the village of Kuran in the district of Jenderes in the countryside of Afrin, had died by detonating a mine in the village of “Babans” in Al-Shahba.

The mine exploded from the era of ISIS occupation of the area several years ago, during a search by citizens for firewood between the forests and the agricultural lands surrounding the village, for their families.

The death that haunts the displaced people of Afrin is not limited to mines. On the second of last December, artillery shelling from the Turkish occupation and the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood known as the “National Army, Free Army” targeted them in the Shahba areas in northern Syria. The bombing resulted in the death of 10 people, including eight children, in addition to the injury of several others, as the Turkish occupation targets the Tal Rifaat area from time to time.
