The Observatory: ISIS operatives were involved in the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that it obtained new information about two militants of the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Turkish occupation, who were previously among the terrorist organization ISIS.

The observatory confirmed that the gunmen are from the city of Al-Mayadeen in the eastern countryside of Deir Al-Zour, and were in the militia of “Saddam Hussein” of militias with a known “Free Army” in the city of Al-Mayadeen, before they sold them to ISIS with the beginning of their control over the area.

The Observatory added that the mission of the two elements was to accompany the organization’s patrols to show them the homes of the wanted persons during the raids.

The Syrian Observatory indicated that the two elements left the ranks of the organization and fled towards the areas controlled by the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Turkish occupation in 2017, joined the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia and participated in the occupation of Afrin, indicating that they are now located in the Jandares area of ​​Afrin countryside.
