Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization continue the kidnappings and extortion that affect the indigenous people in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, with the aim of displacing the rest of them and preventing the displaced from returning, in order to consolidate the demographic change implemented by the Turkish occupation in the hands of these people.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said yesterday, Sunday, that “in an attempt to crackdown on the people and prevent them from returning to their homes”, it was observed that a patrol belonging to the Turkish occupation militia stormed a house in the town of Deir Suwan of the district of “Shara / Sharan” in the countryside of Afrin Northern Syria, and the kidnapping of a recently returned citizen to his village, where he was taken to an unknown destination.

Through the kidnappings, the Islamic militia seeks to raise funds by imposing financial ransoms on the families of the kidnappers, and to prepay the charges prepared for them, such as dealing with the People’s Protection Units or formerly self-management.
