Afrinpost – Special
The indiscriminate bombing of the Turkish occupation and the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, known as the (National Army / Free Army), during the invasion of Afrin to occupy it from January to March 2018, injured 3 sisters from one family, the suffering of the youngest of whom was the oldest, she lost one of her eyes, and still needs urgent treatment and surgery.
Mrs. Samira, the mother of those injured girls, tells Afrinpost the events that took place with them. She says: “We resisted and resisted in our village, Zarka, in the Afrin region for 45 days, and when the bombing was severe on us, we targeted all the time and with all kinds of heavy weapons and while we were trying to save our lives from war planes and bombing, the bombing targeted a service (a small mass transport vehicle with a capacity of 14 passengers) that was transporting us from our village in Rajo towards the center of Afrin.
“Samira” describes the situation at the time, saying: “I do not know how to describe that scene and the crime committed against everyone who was in the service, where they were all unarmed civilians, including 3 of my daughters, one of whom lost her sight completely, and became blind due to the brutal Turkish bombing.” ”
She points out that they left Afrin and left all their money and possessions behind and have nothing in Al-Shahba now, appealing to the concerned authorities and humanitarian organizations to contribute in helping her child to restore her vision and recovery, which is still in her early life.
Afrinpost also met with the injured sisters, where the young woman, Nazira Mustafa, said: “Before the Turkish occupation and its militia launched violent attacks on us in Afrin, we were living in safety and security, but the bombing deprived us of everything, and to protect ourselves we went out, and on the way Turkish aircraft targeted us killed and wounded all of my family. ”
Her counterpart continues her speech by noting that, after they were able to reach the Afrin center, the hospital was unable to provide the necessary treatment, as all the specialized doctors were abandoned as a result of the bombing and the war in Afrin, so they had to get out of Afrin with their wounds without treatment.
The three sisters remained until a long time in this state without treatment even after they reached the Tal Rifaat area in Al-Shahba, before they were able to cross to Aleppo where they received treatment there.
For her part, “Nowruz Mustafa” told Afrin Post: “I was injured with my family at the same time and place, and I now need urgent help to put a lens in my eyes as I was injured in the shelling, and I need an eye retina and I cannot see well even after operation in Aleppo, and there are no clear solutions yet. ”
While the little sister, Alia Mustafa, spoke to the Afrin Post, saying: “I face difficulties in my daily life. With Turkey launching a brutal bombing on us, I lost one of my eyes completely, and now I need an eye transplant, as this random shelling lost me and distorted my eyes My face burned me and I was the age of flowers and the first age ”, to say those punches with a burning heart as she bowed her head, asking the world and humanitarian and children’s rights organizations to extend a helping hand to them.
The Turkish occupation had pursued the abandoned Afrin children in Al-Shahba and carried out on the first of December, with a massacre in the vicinity of Tal Rifaat, by indiscriminate shelling of the Muslim Brotherhood militants, which resulted in the death of 10 citizens, including 8 children.
