“We are very proud of what the Turkish occupation is facing at the hands of our mothers and children, our young men and women, who refuse to defile their land without finding these shoes and stones welcoming them” Abu Piruz told Afrinpost.

He added: “These are the free peoples, which, despite the sorrow of their wounds and allowed the invaders to pass to remove the excuse from them to invade, but they will not meet us with the slaves who carried without a sense of shame, the Turkish flags to welcome those who occupied them, which happened in Jarablus Azaz, Idlib and the rest of the occupied territories. “

As for the young woman, Ister / a pseudonym”, she added to Afrinpost: “The white resistance in Derek, Sarmsakh, Chil Agha and other areas of the island reminded us of the resistance we showed in resisting the Turkish occupation in Afrin. For two months we also resisted white resistance. Our fellow fighters, we were on alert to provide them with meals, as well as joining the people of Afrin between receiving the displaced from the villages. “

During the Turkish invasion of Afrin from January 20 to March 18, 2018, Afrin witnessed an epic solidarity among its inhabitants. Every Afrini house then welcomed several families from the displaced people of the villages. In many cases, the people of the house had to stay in the facilities of their houses to host their guests inside their homes.

In support of the military resistance, the mothers of the Afrinis formed collective kitchens, sought to provide meals continuously for fighters on the front fronts, where the mothers were preparing food around the clock.

As for the Self-Administration institutions, they continued to perform their tasks until the 45th day of the invasion, and perhaps what was remarkable then, that despite the invasion, service institutions such as the municipality remained on top of their tasks, where the city remained clean during the period of the invasion despite the population inflation that hit the center of the region, besides reducing by the Self-Administration of the prices of basic materials such as bread.
