Afrin Post-Rebounds
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights observed fierce clashes with light and medium weapons and machine guns on Tuesday night in the center of the Kurdish former autonomous region of Afrin.
Sources told the Syrian Observatory that the clashes took place near Al-Filat Street between gunmen from the militia “Al-Shamia Front” and others from the militia “Ahrar Al-Sharqiya” amid panic in the area as a result of reckless bullets, but the cause of the clash remained unknown.
Civil sources confirmed to the “Syrian Observatory” that the Islamic militias of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, mobilized and spread in the areas of occupation north of Aleppo.
Kurdish civilians often pay the price for absurd confrontations between the occupation militias, which occur as a result of security chaos and the absence of law and accountability.
On May 28th, Kurdish citizen Suleiman Toubal was martyred after receiving a random bullet during bloody clashes between Ahrar al-Sharqia militia and Ahrar al-Sham militia against the arrest of Abu Khawla Mohasan, the leader of the militia by “Military Police” at Azaz Junction.
While the Turkish occupation deliberately created a state of discomfort in Afrin and its countryside, to push the Kurds to leave their land to the settlers, where he was already able to displace more than 75% of the original inhabitants Afrin Kurds.
