Five Islamic militias of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood share the town of Medanki, in the Shara / Sharan district, east of the Kurdish occupied Afrin region, because of its tourist location overlooking the lake of the Medanki Dam.

The town of Medanki belongs to the district of Shara / Sharan and consists of more than 550 houses, which was full of about 5,000 people before the Turkish occupation in early March 2018, while 120 families of indigenous people returned, mostly elderly, the rest were displaced forcibly displaced between Al-Shahba, Aleppo and eastern Euphrates.
Settlers from Eastern Ghouta, Homs and Hama occupy the homes of more than 430 displaced Kurds and, along with the militants, practice various forms of harassment and abuses against the remaining inhabitants of the original town, from stealing crops, shops, and household and agricultural items.

The militias, who take advantage of the town, cut down forests and fruitful trees, especially in the forests surrounding Lake Medanki. They also affected olive trees and logging operations. The losses due to logging and logging reached about 20% of the trees in the town.
Although these militias are militant Islamists, they did not stand in the way of stealing the contents of the village mosque three times in a row, so that the settlers would reopen and manage it without the original inhabitants of the town.
Medanki is witnessing mass violations like the rest of the villages of the Kurdish region, where “Afripost” periodically addressed. In terms of kidnapping, on October 11, Islamic militia kidnapped Fakhri Khalil Arab, and his fate remains unknown.
As for the olive season, the Islamic militias, including the Sultan Murad Division militia, practiced several methods of looting from the Kurdish people, including by threatening the owners of olive groves in the village of “Medanki”, if not harvested olive season within two days, they will be free to act and seize the season.
As for the murders, on October 4, a Kurdish civilian in the village of Midki was killed as a result of an armed robbery of Islamic militias on a group of shops.
An armed group of the “Sultan Murad” militia, the civilian “Adnan Rashid Amir”, was killed at 4:00 am, with one shot directly in the head, after he tried to intercept the militants and discourage them from stealing a number of shops belonging to the family of (Isa Melksor) next to his house.
Villages in the Kurdish countryside of Afrin continue to be invaded by Turkish invaders and militias, with international silence suggesting that perpetrators will remain unaccounted for, which the Afrin Liberation Forces have assured will not happen to them.
