Afrinpost – Special
The Afrin Post correspondent in the center of the occupied Kurdish Afrin province said that the Ahrar Asharqia militia instructed a number of sewing workshop owners in the city center to manufacture large quantities of black flags of the Islamic State terrorist organization.
The reporter said that the move by the militia came before the start of the Turkish invasion under the name of “Spring of Peace” and the process of weaving black flags continues, especially in the workshops in the neighborhood of Mahmudiya in preparation for lifting in areas east of the Euphrates.
The correspondent quoted one of the gunmen from the city of Homs and belonging to the militia “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” that he participated in the operation “Spring of Peace” to avenge the fighters “SDF” who stepped on the “flag of Tawheed” of ISIS.
The Mahmudiya neighborhood of Afrin is a stronghold of insurgents from the eastern regions of Syria. They are known for their close proximity to ISIS militants. Since the occupation of Afrin, they have been walking barefoot in the streets of the city, saying that they will not wear shoes until they return to the eastern region, as well as their long hair and special short dress of the Jihadists.
Since the occupation of Afrin, extremist organizations such as the Muslim Brotherhood have sought to spread extremism by all means and ways, through the opening of several named institutions, some of them relief and some da’wa, in order to spread radical thought in Afrin, in addition to the opening of religious institutes, and encourage children to lead mosques and receive da’wa lessons. To send da’wah teams to villages, and organize da’wah religious contests.
The Muslim Brotherhood also tried to encourage children to take on radical religious thought by offering gifts, toys, appetizers, sweets and other tricks to drag the children towards their ideology. In cooperation with the “Turkmen Youth Assembly of Syria” and the school of Imam Khatib “Pasha Karaja”.
The Turkish occupation strived to intensify religious materials in the curriculum approved by them in Afrin, imposed materials (religious education, the Koran, the life of the Prophet Muhammad), on primary school students, and encouraged the activity of organizations operating under the cloak of charity work, which seeks to force children to learn prayer and others.
