Islamic militias known as “the National Army”, affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, continue to steal and loot the olive crops belonging to indigenous people in the Kurdish-occupied Afrin region, without moral or legal deterrence.

In this regard, the correspondent of “Afrinpost” in the “Bulbul / Bulbula” said that the militiamen of the “Sultan Murad” occupied the village of “Khalilaka”, stole the crop of 80 olive trees belonging to the citizen (Serbest Bashir), stressing that “the theft was Done at night. “

The correspondent added that the local occupation councils in Afrin have changed their usual method of imposing royalties on the olive crop for this season, where they were issuing their own circulars setting out the percentages they impose on Kurdish farmers.

The reporter confirmed that the local councils of the Turkish occupation are currently collecting their royalties from traders affiliated with the occupation, who monopolize the purchase of oil from farmers.

The correspondent pointed out that the imposed rate of those councils is 3%, to be cut by traders in turn from farmers! For their part, the militias impose varying rates of royalties on farmers, each according to its security sector, where moods prevail, ranging from 5 to 10% imposed except for losses resulting from looting and theft carried out by militants and settlers alike against the livelihoods of the people of Afrin.

Last year, the occupation councils enacted decisions to legalize theft under the pretext of taxation.
Militias and councils took part of the crop under that pretext, and there were large-scale robberies of displaced crops in cooperation between militants and settlers.
