Activists in the countryside of Afrin; the occupied Kurdish region, said that the Islamic militias of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, known as the “Free Army / National Army,” deliberately destroyed the “Shrine of Sheikh Rakab” because it is a Yazidi shrine in the village of “Shah Deira / Shah al-Deir”. The activists added the information with a video showing the destruction and vandalism of the shrine. Islamic militias have turned the shrine into a urination site, in disregard of the feelings of the indigenous Yazidi Kurds and their desire to insult the beliefs and beliefs of a segment of the Kurdish people.

Activists also added that the Islamic militants are digging inside the shrine by compressors to search for archaeological finds that they believe could be found in the yard and inside the shrine.

Kurdish activists appealed to all the good forces in the world and human rights organizations to intervene to stop all abuses and crimes committed by the Turkish occupation through its militants against Afrini land and people, as well as violations against the Yezidis.
